The hack begins via “Messenger”... Warning to WhatsApp users
Fady Mahouly
Recently, new attempts to hack WhatsApp accounts were detected in Lebanon, the basis of which begins through the Messenger application on Facebook.
In detail, an ordinary person sends a message via Messenger to his friends stating that he will create a “group” on WhatsApp, and thus they can enter it.
Then, if that group is entered via a link sent via Messenger, a message will come to whoever tries to enter the group stating that the user number will be transferred from an iPhone to a Samsung phone.
What turned out to be that the sender of the message via “Messenger” was not a real person, but rather an entity that sought to hack the “Messenger” and “WhatsApp” accounts at the same time of the victim, which made the latter’s accounts used to hunt others.
Accordingly, it is worth paying attention to any link that is sent so as not to increase the number of hacking operations that have increased recently.
